FAQ

Where is the best parking close to the Holocene?
There is a parking lot on 9th and Morrison, just one block from the venue. Street parking is also available for overflow.

If I need sleeping accommodations, which hotel should I stay at?
We don’t have a specific block reserved (not enough people to meet the minimum) but we recommend The Hotel Grand Stark, which is very close to the venue.

What’s the dress code?
We’re going for “Creative Cocktail Attire” – meaning you should dress up, but nothing too extravagant or uptight. Have fun with it! We’re also encouraging people to use what they already own or purchase secondhand rather than buying a brand new outfit.

Will there be dietary accommodations?
Yes, there will be vegetarian, vegan and dairy-free options.

Do you have a wedding registry?
We don’t need any physical gifts, so instead we are asking for contributions to our honeymoon.

Can I bring my child?
This will be an adults-only event.

Story Time!

Aaron and Darby met in early 2022 while working together at a local print shop. Over the course of about a year, they became friends, bonding over folding booklets, graphic design, and strange social situations with customers. Outside of work, they watched movies and attended concerts together. The stars aligned, and after a night of karaoke with friends at the Baby Ketten Club, they confessed their feelings, and later became partners.

Throughout the three years Darby and Aaron have been together, they have seen more live bands, like Pom Pom Squad, King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard, and Kamasi Washington. They have escaped from the city on various camping and hiking trips to the coast, Mt. Hood, and Elk Creek. They enjoy working on arts and crafts, playing board games and video games, and watching anime together.

They became engaged in February of 2025, and were married in an intimate ceremony at the St. Johns Jazz Festival that July. Today they live together in Beaverton with their two cats, Patricia and Faye.
